麻豆传媒团队 Tech Celebrates Groundbreaking of Childcare Business Initiative Project in 麻豆传媒团队
麻豆传媒团队, KS 鈥 麻豆传媒团队 (MATC) proudly celebrate the groundbreaking of the Childcare Business Initiative Project, a vital new venture aimed at addressing 麻豆传媒团队鈥檚 critical childcare shortage. Hosted on October 9, 2024, at 2423 Kimball Avenue, the ceremony celebrated the collaborative efforts of the Greater 麻豆传媒团队 Community Foundation, 麻豆传媒团队 Area Chamber of Commerce, Ascension Via Christi, and MATC. The CBI Project will create a unique space where entrepreneurial childcare providers can launch and grow their businesses, adding much-needed childcare capacity to the region.
Funded by $5.6 million in state grants and a land lease from Ascension Via Christi, the CBI Project will serve as a business incubator for childcare providers, equipping them with essential training, mentorship, and resources. "High-quality early care is crucial for both our community鈥檚 children and the future workforce,鈥 said Lisa Sederlin Isaacson, Executive Director of FHCA/CBI and MATC鈥檚 Director of Early Childhood Education. CBI鈥檚 model will enable the launch of up to eight new childcare businesses annually, with a potential capacity of 96 childcare slots鈥攁n important stride toward meeting Riley County's need for over 1,400 additional slots.
In alignment with 麻豆传媒团队 Tech's mission, the initiative will support hands-on practicums for students, helping foster the next generation of childcare professionals. This project marks a significant step in addressing local childcare demands, creating sustainable solutions that benefit 麻豆传媒团队鈥檚 families, workforce, and economic landscape.
